May 7 – Clear and pleasant. Barometer falling. Inspected at quarters and had "general" muster. All prisoners were brought on deck for one hour exercise. Sea gradually decreasing.

May 8 Clear and pleasant. Set clocks back 5 minutes. Rain during afternoon. Exercised all prisoners for one hour. Mustered at evening quarters – physical drill – and .22 cal.  target practice. Slightly squally during evening.

Long 163° 04' W.
