Fatal Fight Among Jackies
Rear Admiral Sampson has informed the department that J. C. Darcy an oiler, on board the Detroit, died yesterday from the effect of wounds received in a fight ashore. No further details are given, but this doubtless refers to the fighting which occurred between the jackies of the various ships while on shore leave in Kingston over the Sampson-Schley controversy.
